“Since the Land Trust conserved some land near our home we've been impressed with how they protect this area. We now spend countless hours volunteering and we are members of the monthly giving club.”

Financial

Financial and accountability information for the Deschutes Land Trust.

The Land Trust believes in operating as a transparent and accountable organization. Towards that end, we are audited annually and produce an annual report that outlines our operation costs. You may also:

Accountability

The Land Trust's Board of Directors oversees the strategic direction of the organization. Directors are tasked with ensuring that the Land Trust's work does in fact provide a public good and that it is carried out professionally and ethically. The Land Trust holds itself to high standards and towards that end we have policies that outline conflicts of interest, confidentiality and other important matters.

To demonstrate publicly our commitment to high standards, the Land Trust is voluntarily participating in a national accreditation program for land trusts. The program requires an independent audit by the the Land Trust Accreditation Commission who will then award an accreditation seal to approved land trusts nationwide. Accreditation provides assurance that conservation efforts are meeting national standards for excellence, upholding public trust and protecting lands permanently.

For information on land trust accreditation visit the Land Trust Accreditation Commission.
