The Cascade Chainbreaker, hosted by WebCyclery, is one of Oregon's largest mountain bike races. It is a great example of the multitude of recreational opportunities that exist on Skyline Forest.
The Land Trust is currently working to purchase this 33,000 acre private forest near Bend and Sisters to create a community forest for wildlife, recreation and scenic values. While the Deschutes Land Trust continues its quest to purchase the forest, access for the race has generously been permitted by Fidelity National Timber, the current landowner.
