“Since the Land Trust conserved some land near our home we've been impressed with how they protect this area. We now spend countless hours volunteering and we are members of the monthly giving club.”

Land Trust Conservation Award goes to Karearea: The Pine Falcon

Annual award features best conservation filmmaking.

This year's BendFilm Festival provided some wonderful films to see. The Land Trust was pleased to present the annual Conservation Award for best conservation filmmaking to Karearea: The Pine Falcon. This 50 minute documentary tells the story of the New Zealand pine falcon through the eyes of a Scottish filmmaker and a legendary New Zealand photographer. The Land Trust's executive director Brad Chalfant presented the Conservation Award at the Saturday night award ceremony. Many thanks to the Starview Foundation for making the Land Trust's Conservation Award possible.
