It's been an active summer at Whychus Canyon Preserve. Now that forest restoration crews have finished the first phase of juniper thinning at the Preserve, trail building has moved into high gear.
Crews from Treadwerks are nearly done building trails around the Preserve. They started on the canyon rim and have created new trails all the way down to Whychus Creek.
We're pleased to say these trails will provide much better access between the Creek and the canyon rim. They'll also give visitors better views of the Creek without making the strenuous hike down. See photos of the new trails in this slideshow.
We'll keep you posted on when the trails are completely linked and ready for use!
