The Land Trust sends a huge thank you out to long-time volunteers Kent and Lois Gill!
The Gills adopted the Becky Johnson Nature Trail at the Metolius Preserve in 2006 and have been faithfully tending the trail for the last six years. Several times a year these Camp Sherman neighbors head to the Metolius Preserve to rake the trail, pull weeds, prune brush and tree branches, and sweep out the kiosk, viewing platforms, and bridges. The countless hours Kent and Lois have spent have made a huge difference at the Preserve and for the visitors enjoying the trail.
The Gills have been Land Trust members since the Land Trust first started in 1995 and have, over the years, been found volunteering for events, leading hikes and much more. We truly are grateful for their time and dedication. Thanks Kent and Lois, we'll sure miss you!
