Whychus Canyon Preserve Update

Dec 09, 2013
Beautiful new interpretive signs help guide visitors around the Preserves while telling the story of native flora and fauna. New trails are also under construction. Read on for details.

The Land Trust is happy to report that we now have new kiosk signs up at our Whychus Canyon Preserve! The signs help orient visitors to the Preserve while providing some interesting educational background on the property. The Whychus Canyon signs feature details on Whychus Creek and fish and wildlife that depend on it. The kiosk also includes beautiful wooden boxes to hold our brochures. Huge thanks to Dick Tipton who volunteered to make them!

You may have also noticed that we are in the process of building new trails at Whychus Canyon Preserve. Crews have been hard at work constructing a second phase of trails that will offer new viewpoints and route options around the Preserve. Since the trails are not yet complete, please be patient and use our current trail system until they are finished. We'll be sure to let you know when they are done. Thank you!
