Whychus Creek restoration wins US Forest Service Award

The award recognizes collaborative aquatic stewardship and was given to the Land Trust and our restoration partners.

The Whychus Creek restoration project at Camp Polk Meadow Preserve has won the Forest Service Region 6 Rise to the Future Award!

The award was for collaborative aquatic stewardship and was given to the Land Trust, the Deschutes National Forest, the Upper Deschutes Watershed Council and the Deschutes River Conservancy in recognition of our collective work at Camp Polk Meadow and on Whychus Creek in general. Thanks to Paul Powers, a Forest Service Fish Biologist, for the nomination!
