The Land Trust has been working with our restoration partners since 2014 to restore a portion of Spring Creek that runs through a privately-owned Land Trust protected property on the creek. Large logs were added to the stream to provide habitat for fish, and new plants added to the creek bank for shade and stability.

The most recent work added more small diameter trees to the log-jams along the creek. These trees will help trap sediment in the creek, slow water, and provide more hiding cover for fish.

Huge thanks to the landowners along Spring Creek, including the Livingston and Morley families, who own the property the Land Trust has protected!

Spring Creek is a privately owned, Land Trust protected property in Central Oregon near Camp Sherman. Thanks to our restoration partners: the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, US Forest Service, and Upper Deschutes Watershed Council.
