Job Opening: Outreach Associate

The Deschutes Land Trust has a job opening for an Outreach Associate.

The Deschutes Land Trust is seeking a part-time (20 hours/week) Outreach Associate to help implement the Land Trust's communications, marketing and engagement strategies. The successful candidate will help implement and provide support for Land Trust events, communications, and volunteer coordination. Candidates should have a degree in communications, marketing, English, or a related field and 2-3 years' experience in marketing/communications and/or writing.

The Deschutes Land Trust is an accredited land trust celebrating its 22nd year. We have conserved more than 8,900 acres of wildlife habitat, with thousands of acres of additional projects on the horizon. The Land Trust's mission is to conserve land for wildlife, scenic views and local communities. We have a motivated staff of nine, an active Board, and highly engaged volunteers.

The successful candidate must share the organization’s commitment to the conservation of land and have a keen personal interest in the mission of the Land Trust. He or she must be independent, organized and be able to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks. Applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Applicants must be very adept with technology, including but not limited to Microsoft applications, social media, and web based content management systems.
