Pine Lopping Project

Join the Land Trust for a late summer work party to help keep ponderosa pines from encroaching at Indian Ford Meadow Preserve. Volunteers will use loppers to help remove small pine trees that have grown into the meadow in recent years. Open meadows offer important habitat for all kinds of wildlife and hand removal of pines is how we maintain these meadows in the absence of fire.

Rating: Work party with physical activity.

What to Bring: Gloves if you have them, sturdy hiking shoes, water, snacks/lunch, and all-weather clothing. We will provide the necessary tools.
