Project Plastic

We are working on a multi-year restoration project to remove weeds and plant native vegetation at Camp Polk Meadow Preserve! The first step in this project is solarization. Solarization is a process where we cover the ground with plastic during the spring and summer months in order to heat the soil and "bake" the weed seeds and make room for native plants.  We will be rolling out the plastic and preparing the soil for solarization.
