We are proud to announce our newest board members: Glenn Willard and Mike Cutting.

Mike Cutting and Glenn Willard have joined the Deschutes Land Trust’s Board of Directors. Together, they bring additional skills and expertise, which will strengthen the Land Trust’s Board.

Mike is a co-founder and retired president of Northwest Atlantic Partners, a national real estate brokerage and consulting firm based in Bellevue, WA. An engineering graduate from OSU with an MBA from the University of Washington, Mike is a 5th-generation native Oregonian, and grew up on a farm in the Willamette valley.

Mike and his wife Carmen retired full-time to Bend 2006. Mike is a former board member of Portland-based Shorebank Pacific (now One Pacific Bank) and the Central Oregon OSU Beaver organization. His hobbies and interests include skiing, road biking, hiking, golf, OSU athletics, wine, cooking and travel.

Glenn Willard is an Owner and Managing Partner of the USA office of Quick Feat International, a Hong Kong based apparel manufacturer. He works primarily with catalog and internet direct companies in the outdoor and casual apparel marketplace.

Prior to moving to Bend in 2001, Glenn represented a large outdoor fabric manufacturer and was an independent contractor representing products for use in pursuing outdoor activities in the Pacific Northwest. He is a member of the Conservation Alliance and Textile Exchange. Glenn enjoys all outdoor activities especially biking, skiing, and built a net zero home in 2005.

“We’re really excited to have Mike and Glenn joining the board as we pursue increasingly ambitious conservation projects for Central Oregon, including protecting places like Skyline Forest. Mike’s real estate transaction expertise and Glenn’s experience with marketing and the outdoor recreation industry provide both additional depth and breadth to the Land Trust Board,” says Brad Chalfant, executive director of the Land Trust.
