Kevin Hurst grew up in northern Utah and graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Environmental Philosophy. He moved to Portland, Oregon in 1982 and has been visiting Central Oregon frequently since then. Kevin retired from a career in high tech in 2016, and he and his wife Yasmeen moved to Bend in 2020. When he isn't volunteering for the Land Trust, Kevin and Yasmeen love to travel and hike in some of the world's diverse environments including the Dolomites, Scotland, Ireland, Greece, Hawaii and Glacier National Park. Closer to home, Kevin enjoys hiking in the Cascades, cross country skiing, fly fishing, lake kayaking, mountain biking and sampling craft beer. He deeply believes in the healing power of nature and looks forward to experiencing this with you on the Land Trust properties.
