Help With Our Monarch Butterfly Conservation Program

It truly takes a community for our Monarch Butterfly Conservation Program to be a success! You can join us by planting native milkweed at your home, an essential part of monarch habitat. If you live in Central Oregon and want to help out the monarchs, let us know and we'll send you some free milkweed seeds! Thank you in advance for helping us create more monarch butterfly and other pollinator habitat in our backyards!

Share Your Experiences

We are excited to be a part of building a Central Oregon community with a strong conservation ethic. We hope you’ll join us in being advocates for conservation! Telling others about our work and your Land Trust experiences is an easy way to show your support. Did you recently visit a Land Trust Preserve? Share your photos with us via email or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram (don’t forget to tag #deschuteslandtrust) and let others see just how special Central Oregon's protected lands are to you and your family!

Other creative ways to get involved in the protection and care of Central Oregon's special places:

  • Celebrate your milestones with us: We wholeheartedly support being added to wedding registries, birthday wishlists, and helping you celebrate life's milestones. The Land Trust also offers gift memberships and will send a card letting the honoree know a gift has been made in their honor. Contact Jana Hemphill for more information, or make a donation online in honor of a loved one.

  • Plan a private event with us: Would you like to host the Deschutes Land Trust at your next book club, Rotary meeting, or neighborhood gathering? We'd love to join you and spread the word about our work! Please email Jana Hemphill with your event information, including date and time.

  • Designate the Land Trust as an event beneficiary: Do you have a local's night? Or a charity month? We'd love to partner with you to help strengthen our community. Please contact Sarah Mowry for more information.

  • Leverage your gift with a matching gift: Did you know that your employer might offer a matching gift program? Many employers will make matching gifts to the Land Trust on your behalf--helping you make an even bigger impact with your gift! It doesn't cost you extra, and it helps your donation go even further.
