Purchasing, permanently protecting, and caring Central Oregon's lands and waters is critical for our community both now and for future generations. These areas contain important wildlife habitat, places for friends and families to connect to the outdoors, and beautiful views. They also have significant costs associated with them. The Five Rivers Society is made up of individuals, couples, families, and business that make a commitment to the future of Central Oregon's meadows, forests, creeks, and canyons by making an annual gift of $1,000 or more.

Why become a part of the Five Rivers Society? Because you want to invest in protecting and caring for Central Oregon's lands and waters for future generations. With the Deschutes Land Trust, you can be proud that you've chosen an organization that is:

  • Effective. The Land Trust achieves results while being professional and pragmatic in carrying out our mission.
  • Collaborative. The Land Trust partners with local landowners, community organizations, public agencies, and other stakeholders to conserve land most effectively.
  • Local. The Land Trust is locally-based, responsive to local needs, and dedicated to connecting our local communities to the outdoors and sharing our love of nature.
  • Enduring. The Land Trust has helped conserve and care for many amazing places since its founding decades ago, and will continue to be leaders in local conservation as we protect and steward these important lands forever.
