Ready for an unforgettable night under the stars? Join the Deschutes Land Trust’s Emerging Conservationists of Central Oregon (ECCO) for a millennial-friendly overnight camping experience at Paulina Creek Preserve near La Pine.

What to Expect:

• Pitch your tent at one of Central Oregon’s newest protected Preserves.
• Learn about the restoration plans for this special place.
• Get inspired by a Dark Sky education session with experts from DarkSky Oregon.
• Experience a guided stargazing tour under clear night skies.
• Wake up to a cozy pancake breakfast with your fellow campers.

There is a suggested $30 non-refundable donation per vehicle to cover costs and celebrate the Land Trust’s 30^th anniversary.

The Nitty Gritty: This is an adult event. No dogs/pets allowed. Vehicles are restricted to 26 feet or less (no trailers). Check-in will take place from 3-5pm. Please bring your own dinner for Saturday night. Absolutely no campfires or open flame allowed. Breakfast will be provided and served from 9-10:30am on Sunday morning. Accessibility: The Stargazing Campout will take place at Paulina Creek Preserve. Camping and guided stargazing tour will be in a grassy meadow with uneven ground. Camp kitchen and parking will be on a loose gravel road. There are two all-gender portable restrooms.

The Land Trust is working to make our events as accessible as possible. Please let us know at least one week in advance if there is something we can do or provide to support you in participating in this Stargazing Campout to the fullest and we will accommodate as possible.
