Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Carol Moorehead for a wildflower hike at a potential Land Trust-protected property outside of Prineville. Demaris Ranch is a privately-owned ranch on McKay Creek that the Land Trust has been working to conserve. This hike will explore a portion of the ranch's 2,000 acres by hiking up into the hills and ridges that overlook McKay Creek. Enjoy spring wildflowers as you take in scenic views of the McKay Creek valley and nearby Prineville. Registration is required and opens 1 month prior to the event.

    Hike Rating: This is a challenging ~6 mile hike across uneven terrain.

    Route: This hike will follow Lincoln Creek up into the hills and ridges of Demaris Ranch. Terrain will be uneven at times.

    Elevation gain/loss: This hike is challenging with ~1000' of elevation gain/loss.
