The Land Trust's annual Tree Hunt has been canceled due to snow levels at the Metolius Preserve near Camp Sherman.

The Land Trust's annual Metolius Preserve Tree Hunt has been canceled due to current snow levels in the Camp Sherman area.

Land Trust staff visited the Metolius Preserve today. With plenty of snow on the ground from last week's storm, we have made the decision to cancel the Tree Hunt, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, December 7th. We apologize for any inconvenience.

No tree cutting will be allowed at the Metolius Preserve this year. For those looking for a similar experience, you can purchase a tree cutting permit for Deschutes National Forest and Ochoco National Forest lands.

While the Land Trust's Tree Hunt will not be rescheduled, we look forward to bringing it back next year!
