The spring-like weather seems to be sticking around, which means the Deschutes Land Trust is getting ready for the 2020 Walks + Hikes season! We will be sharing the full 2020 Walk + Hike schedule on April 1st, but in the meantime, you can get a head start on the season with some of these early spring hikes:

  • Discover the world of birding and search for songbirds returning to Central Oregon on a Beginning Bird Walk.
  • Learn about the history of Camp Polk Meadow Preserve while also seeing first-hand how the Land Trust's restoration efforts have brought the meadow back to life with Mary Crow's Restoration + History Wander.
  • Explore Whychus Creek and learn more about regional efforts to restore salmon and steelhead runs during a Fish Walk.
  • Get in shape for hiking season! Start with leader Carol Moorehead's Trail Tuesday Hike at Whychus Canyon Preserve.
