The Land Trust is pleased to announce that our Preserves are once again open for exploring! As with all activities during the pandemic, we have new guidelines and rules we ask you to follow. Please take the time to read these guidelines before you head out, so you can keep our community safe and healthy.

Before you leave home

  • If you’re sick, stay home.
  • Check our website to ensure the Preserve you want to visit is open. Have a backup plan B and C in case there are too many visitors at your planned destination.
  • Visit Preserves at less popular times. Land Trust Preserves are open during daylight hours year-round. If the parking lot is full, please return at another time.
  • Wash your hands before and after your visit.
  • Restrooms at Preserves are cleaned once a week and may not have supplies. Please plan accordingly and pack out any supplies you pack in.
  • Kiosks, benches, and other high-touch surfaces will not be cleaned. Please plan accordingly.
  • Bring all of your supplies—food, water, hand sanitizer, face covering, toilet paper—with you. Don’t plan on stopping at local stores to pick up supplies.

At the Preserve we ask that you follow all state physical distancing guidelines and:

  • Park only in approved parking spots on hard surfaces. It’s wildfire season and conditions are extremely dry. Do not park on grasses or other flammable surfaces.
  • Go solo or only with another member of your household. No groups.
  • Wear a face covering—especially in high traffic areas like parking lots and trailheads. Homemade is fine.
  • Don’t linger in busy areas like trailheads, parking lots, restrooms, benches and/or overlooks.
  • Stay at least six feet away from any other people you might see on site.
  • Leave no trace, pack out what you bring in.
  • Be mindful and avoid risky behavior. Please don’t put additional strain on limited health resources.
  • Please follow all other Preserve rules.

Thank you for your patience as we worked to get our Preserves ready for visitors! Happy exploring!
