The Deschutes Land Trust would like to thank Breck Flanagan-Caldwell, who completed his Board of Directors service in July 2025.
Breck joined the Board of Directors in 2022. He grew up in Bend and first connected with the Land Trust when he volunteered as a Weed Warrior during college. When he joined the Board in 2022, he brought a professional background in conservation and water resource management. Breck worked actively to engage his fellow emerging professionals with the work of the Land Trust and supported our efforts to develop the Emerging Conservationists of Central Oregon program. Breck finished his Board service early so he could start a new chapter as a Ken Potter Wisconsin Distinguished Graduate Fellow in Water Resources at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
“Breck was the Land Trust’s first millennial board member. He brought new perspectives and community connections to our organization and for that we are so grateful. As Breck heads off to his next professional endeavor, we know he will continue to be a change-maker in our field,” said Rika Ayotte, the Land Trust’s executive director.
Thank you, Breck for your time and expertise!
