The Land Trust would like to extend a warm welcome to Pete Muhitch! 

Pete Muhitch is the Land Trust's summer intern from the Bill Lane Center for the American West at Stanford University. Pete is a master's student from Exeter, Rhode Island, studying Earth Systems Science at Stanford University. Pete's main interests lie at the intersection of plant and soil science. He is excited to apply his background in soil research and terrestrial ecology in support of the conservation work of the Deschutes Land Trust. Outside of work, Pete writes music and plays the guitar and mandolin. Pete is also an avid runner and climber and is eager to explore the trails and crags in Central Oregon.
