The Deschutes Land Trust is happy to report the golden eagle nest at Aspen Hollow Preserve is active for the 17th consecutive year! The resident golden eagle couple is currently incubating their 2026 clutch of two eggs.

Aspen Hollow Preserve was conserved by the Land Trust in 2015. As part of this protection, the Preserve is closed during golden eagle nesting season, allowing the large raptors to nest without human disturbance. Golden eagles are sensitive to human disturbance during nesting season, even from far distances.

You can still see this incredible natural wonder though! Follow along with the incubation, hatching, and raising of these large raptors at goldeneaglecam.org, believed to be the only golden eagle camera in the United States.
