Join the Land Trust for a winter work party to help remove invasive Russian olive at Ochoco Preserve. Volunteers will remove olive with loppers, helping restore native plant communities and improving wildlife habitat. Non-native vegetation is a major threat to healthy natural areas and the recently restored portions of Ochoco Preserve. Get your hands dirty and have fun while making a difference in Central Oregon.

Rating: Work party with moderate physical activity that includes removing weeds on uneven ground.

What to bring: Work gloves (if you have them), snacks/lunch, water, and closed toe shoes. Dress for the weather.
