Cage Removal Work Party

Young aspen at Camp Polk Meadow Preserve are thriving and it’s time to set them free! Volunteers will help remove wire caging and fence posts so the aspens have more space to grow. Your efforts will help improve habitat for native plants and wildlife at Camp Polk Meadow Preserve. Get your hands dirty and have fun while making a difference in Central Oregon!
Rating: Work party with moderate physical activity that includes removing old plant cages and pulling/digging posts out of uneven ground.
What to Bring: Work gloves (if you have them), snacks/lunch, sunglasses/eye protection, and sturdy, closed toe shoes. Dress for the weather.
