Willow Grab + Stab
Join the Land Trust for a spring work party to help cut and plant willow stems at Ochoco Preserve! Hike into the Preserve and along McKay Creek and learn which willows to cut for use in a nearby restoration project. Cut willows and then plant them by stabbing them into the ground at our restoration location. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a spring day at our Preserve and to see new restoration work up close!
Rating: Work party with moderate physical activity that includes walking and planting in uneven ground.
What to Bring: Work gloves (if you have them), snacks/lunch, water, and waterproof boots (planting area may be wet and muddy). Dress for the weather.
