Camp Polk Meadow Preserve's Hindman Springs trail update in now complete! Crews were on site the last few weeks working to overhaul the old, bark-chipped trail. The new trail includes:
- A new surface made of crushed gravel.
- A wider trail that is easier for walking.
- Re-aligned portions to protect sensitive wetland habitat and other natural features.
- A new bridge over the springs.
This trail update is the first phase of a larger effort to give this portion of Camp Polk Meadow Preserve some love and attention. Now that trail work is complete, we can move on to stabilizing the historic Hindman Barn and restoring native plant communities.
