Ready to take the next step in your Land Trust bird survey orientation? Then join the Deschutes Land Trust for a site orientation at Ochoco Preserve. We’ll show you where to survey, what routes to follow, and share important details about property rules and boundaries.

Note: you must have completed the first steps in the bird survey orientation process to join this training.

Rating: This is an easy ~1-2 mile hike on loose dirt trails. Portions will be off-trail through a grassy meadow. Terrain will be uneven and wet at times.

What to bring: Binoculars (if you have them), snacks, water, closed toe shoes. Dress for the weather.

This is an adult-only work party. Volunteers 18 and over are welcome.
