The Land Trust continues the behind-the-scenes effort to find a permanent conservation solution for Skyline Forest. Our work is ongoing to secure key funding and community partnerships which will be essential to conserving Skyline Forest. In 2025, the sellers expanded their property listing to include several other forested properties across Oregon. The Land Trust is working with partners to evaluate any additional conservation opportunities. We are also watching closely as the federal government proposes changes to the Land and Water Conservation Fund program which would be a critical source of funding if an acquisition becomes possible. We remain hopeful that we can find a path forward in the near future. Stay tuned!
